Daniel Amokachi, former assistant coach of the
Super Eagles has been offered a new coaching job at
FC Ifeanyi Ubah, we has gathered.
Amokachi, a former Nigeria international was
unveiled on Sunday, August 10, at the Rojenny
International stadium, Oba, Anambra state, after the
league match between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and
Sunshine Stars FC was postponed because the
The former Nasarawa United coach was appointed
as the Technical Assistant to FC Ifeanyi Ubah, as
erstwhile coach, John Obuh, was made the
Technical Director.
Amokachi 42, fondly referred to as ‘Da Bull’ in his
playing days was unveiled alongside former Super
Eagles goalkeeper and Trainer, Ike Shorunmu.
In a chat with Naij.com after the unveiling, the
footballer turned analyst said: “It is a rare privilege to
be considered good enough to handle a side such as
Ifeanyi Ubah FC.
“I want to appreciate his excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah,
for this singular honour.
“I shall try my best not to disappoint the team as we try
to push for continental qualification, because that is the
major aim of the owner.”

Meanwhile, the matches between Heartland and 3SC
has been rescheduled to hold by 10am on Monday,
August 10, while the Ifeanyi Ubah versus Sunshine
Stars FC encounter will be played by 12noon same
day.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah were routed 3-0 at the Warri
Township Stadium in Week 21 courtesy of a
Gbolahan Salami brace and a Benjamin Ibenegbu
strike.
