Buhari South-East Youth Movement (BSEYM) has threatened to shut down Nigeria if anything ugly happens to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Father Ejike Mbaka, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammdu Buhari at the state house.
Vanguard reports the group issued a statement reacting to Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka’s prediction of possible assassination plot against the president.
BSEYM asked any person or group with such evil plan to have a rethink “because such will spell doom for not just the country.”
In a statement made by its leader, Nwabueze Onwuneme, the group also called on anyone with any knowledge of any plot against Buhari to immediately provide information to security agencies.
BSEYM noted that Mbaka’s prediction should be taken seriously because “corruption really fights back dirty when attacked.”
Members of the group urged all well-meaning Nigerians to resist the evil work of any person or a group that “wants to kill this country”. They also called on people to support President Buhari in his effort to sanitize the country.
Meanwhile, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria described Mbaka’s prophecy as “sensationalism”, “rumour peddling” and “delusional fantasy”.
The group called on the Nigerian Catholic hierarchy to sanction the cleric over his shifting from sacred vocation to political games. Moreover, it even threatened to drag Mbaka to Pope Francis if the Catholic Bishops Conference fails to take appropriate action.
