An 11-year-old boy has been kidnapped and slaughtered in Kano state.
The Punch reports that the Kano state police command confirmed the horrible incident on Tuesday, June 7.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Magaji Musa Majia, the spokesman of the command, said that the boy, identified as Musa Salisu, was sent on an errand by his father within the Naibawa quarters of the city at about 2pm on Monday. However, the boy failed to return home and his parents raised the alarm.
Abubakar Kafinta, the boy’s uncle said that the family became worried when the deceased did not come back home.
“It was not immediately clear that the boy was abducted, until three hours later when an unidentified source phoned the family members about the unfortunate development.”
“The abductors demanded N500,000 ransom, to secure the boy’s release or else they will take his life,
The uncle added that the family reported the matter to the police and made efforts to meet the demands of the abductors.
“We contacted them (the abductors) through the same line they used to call us this morning (Tuesday) for a deal only to learn that the boy has been slaughtered.
“The abductors further gave us a detailed description of where they deposited his corpse at a spot on Eastern Bypass, Kano,” he said.
Meanwhile, the police spokesman disclosed that two suspects had been arrested in connection with the abduction of the boy.
