YBNL rapper, Olamide has officially issued an apology for his controversial outburst at the Headies 2015 to the organizers of the Headies and HipTV in a new video which recently surfaced online.

Olamide had publicly voiced his disapproval of the Headies crowning Reekado Banks as the Next Rated Act and ‘snobbing’ his then fast rising label act Lil Kesh.

The Abule Sowo crooner created a public video with Hip TV CEO, Mr Ayo Animashaun in which he apologized to the organizers of the Headies and HipTV platform for his inappropriate conduct, claiming he should have apologized earlier, but had been on tour with his crew and this had kept him very busy.

He said, “ On behalf of YBNL, I’m here to say a big sorry to the Headies crew, Hip TV crew and Mr Ayo Animashaun himself, if not for anything he has always been supportive, from 2010 when Kaffy brought me to the office, so he’s more like my dad in the industry, so I had to find a way to come down here and apologize for everything that has happened ..”

Olamide fondly called Badoo, on January 1, 2016 caused a scene at the Headies award, calling out the organising committee after Lil’ Kesh failed to clinch the award for the Next Rated Artiste. This led to and exchange between him and label boss Don Jazzy that turned really ugly and was finally allegedly settled by Nigerian business mogul and billionaire, Aliko Dangote.
