Situation room reports have it that five people have been allegedly killed in Southern Ijaw area of Bayelsa state.
This is coming following series of violence which had erupted in the state since yesterday night, where gunshots have been repeatedly heard in several parts of the state.

There were also gunshots reported in Brass local government area of the state.
As at the time of fling this report, Naij.com correspondents on ground were yet to ascertain the level of havoc wreaked by the shootings as Southern Ijaw is across water.
Tribune now reports that a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bayelsa State, Chief Gideon Ekeowei, Mr Donald Egberibein and 49 others have been arrested in connection with the violence.
Mr Donald Egberibein is a former member of the House of Representatives while Chief Ekeowei is a chieftain of the APC in the state.
