About 41 members of the All Progressives Congress
in Akwa Ibom state have been suspended over
misconduct and anti-party activities.
This was announced on Wednesday, July 23, by the
newly elected publicity secretary of the party, Mr.
Ita Awak, This Day reports.
He said the party arrived at the decision during a
meeting of its state executive committee held at the
APC secretariat on July, 20.
Among those suspended were the former chapter
chairmen of Essien Udim; Ikot Ekpene; Obot
Akara; Onna; Uyo; Etim Ekpo; Ibiono Ibom; Itu;
and Ini local government areas as well as former
deputy chapter chairman of Nsit Ibom Local
Government Area; former youth leaders in Ini and
Nsit Ibom.
